Aadhaar is encrypted in the database and a separate keyed lookup hash is used for duplicate checking. Only masked Aadhaar should be displayed in application lists. | |
| Before production deployment, configure a strong private encryption key, HTTPS, access controls, database backups, secure private file storage, retention/deletion rules, and an approved liveness verification provider or official manual process. The development key shipped in config.php must not be used for real applicant data. |
